As part two of our Genealogies of Rock n Roll Fall Music Lecture series, Dr. Douglas Dow, the Assosiate Director of Collegium V, will present on the history of Punk and Post Punk. There are heavy influences from both these staple genres among indie music, rock n roll and culture, so be sure to stop by to learn about this fascinating topic.
In addition to his works with Collegium V, Dr. Dow also heads the Office of Distinguished scholarships and teaches classes in political theory,American politics, Constitutional law and history, ethics and technology, and film and politics.
From Joy Division to Baushaus to The Jesus and Mary Chain to Sonic Youth and so much more, all we’re doing this night is taking in so much noise (and information too).
