Radio UTD Prom veteran, historical fiction hip-hop artist Astronautalis has been described as “if Beck were a decade or so younger and had grown up more heavily immersed in hip-hop.” Having cut his teeth on freestyle battles such as Scribble Jam, Astronautalis has released four albums and for the past seven years has been non-stop touring the US, building a cult following, and performing wherever and whenever he can. Sometimes rock, sometimes rap, always raw, powerful, rough-around-the-edges, whiskey-fueled goodness, Astronautalis returns to Texas Oct. 5 at Granada Theater opening for Flobots.
