Native Fox

UTD's own indie pop band gives the Art Barn one last show in this new Local Music Session

Songs:
“Strep”
“Your Name”

When we heard that the Art Barn had just weeks to live, we knew exactly who to call to commemorate a building so close to Radio UTD’s hearts. Native Fox’s psychedelic pop sound and DIY appearance pairs beautifully with the Barn’s long history as the small but vibrant and organic center of the visual arts at UT Dallas. James, Kamaron, Liam, and Tristan have known each other for years and been playing music since their time in high school together in Garland. Radio UTD first brought them to the campus for our Spring 2017 local music concert and we’ve been hooked ever since. To hear more of their music, check out their bandcamp. And to hear more of just Kamaron, tune in to his show Killa Kam’s Fusion Jams on Wednesdays, noon to 3pm, this fall.

Thanks to Dean Kratz and Greg Metz in the School of Arts and Humanities for helping us to make this video possible. We made a short video about the Art Barn’s history with this campus and with Radio UTD that you can view below.
